Let’s Talk The Hangover…
Is your idea of the perfect guys weekend away trashing hotel rooms, fighting Mike Tyson and marrying random strangers? If so, this movie is definitely for you because really, what more could you ask? I guess throw in some car chases, stolen police cars, drugs, sex… the list goes on. And you know what, you wouldn’t be the only one to like this movie, The Hangover came 6th in the year 2009 for domestic box office performance.
That in itself is crazy, because look at it’s competition. If it made an extra $24m it would have surpassed Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and it only needed $19m to go past The Twilight Saga: New Moon. In terms of what it beat? We’re talking Fast & Furious, Oscar winner The Blind Side, Star Trek, Sherlock Holmes, G.I. Joe, Inglourious Basterds and a ton of other high profile films. For an original IP to do what it did is impressive.
In terms of the story? I guarantee you laughed out loud the first time you saw it. Whether it was how goofy and ridiculous Zach Galifianakis played Alan or the break out performance of Ken Jeong, this movie was legit laugh out loud funny. So yeah, this is indeed the perfect movie to play a drinking game with. We get the irony, we get the jokes your friends will make about ending up in the same situation, but trust us, this will be fun.
The Hangover Drinking Game
- This is a drinking game for the movie The Hangover.
- It’s impossible to keep up with 15-20 drinking game rules. We limit our rules to 10.
- Each time a rule occurs, you take a drink. We don’t have any rules that tell you to finish drinks or make stupid fucking noises. We keep things simple.
- Our rules aren’t standard, they’re obscure. That’s how we’re different.
Drink Every Time…
- Somebody on screen does a shot.
- “Wolfpack”
- Alan showcases zero social cues or awareness.
- A character mentions the wedding or marriage.
- Somebody talks on the phone or makes a call.
- A character remembers something about last night or they figure out a clue.
- You spot Stu’s missing tooth or Tyson’s tiger.
- Anytime someone gets hurt or swears.
- Stu says he’s a doctor.
- The Wolfpack boys say “Doug!”
