Let’s Talk About Bridesmaids…
Who would have thought that a film that talks about shitting in a street would end up winning a Golden Globe Award and gross over $300,000,000. Bridesmaids is an absolute classic and the people we have to thank are Paul Feig, Kristen Wiig, Judd Apatow and an amazing cast of characters that included the break out role for Melissa McCarthy.
Bridesmaids is a comedy/romance (I guess it’s a romance) that is centered around Annie (Kristen Wiig) who is a maid of honor who is faced with a series of challenging situations while planning her best friends (Maya Rudolph) wedding. If we were to talk about themes which I very rarely do here on Knock Off Time I’d say we explore friendship, personal growth, the wedding planning process and of course we learn the lesson to never eat at Brazilian restaurants before trying on wedding dresses.
Bridesmaids Drinking Game
- This is a Bridesmaids drinking game.
- It’s impossible to keep up with 15-20 drinking game rules. We limit our rules to 10.
- Each time a rule occurs, you take a drink. We don’t have any rules that tell you to finish drinks or make stupid fucking noises. We keep things simple.
- Our rules aren’t standard, they’re obscure. That’s how we’re different.
Drink Every Time…
- Annie experiences something awkward or embarassing.
- Helen one-ups Annie or is passive aggressive.
- Megan says something ridiculous.
- Lillian becomes overwhelmed by the wedding prep.
- Officer Rhodes and Annie be cute with each otehr.
- Melissa McCarthy showcases her physical comedy skills.
- A cameo appears on screen.
- Jon Hamm loves himself or is self-centered.
- Annie bakes.
- Anyone on-screen takes a drink.
